Bristol Amphitheatre and Waterfront Square are located in the heart of Bristol’s vibrant Harbourside, which is close to the City Centre. Once a busy working dock where sailors and merchants would trade goods and set sail for voyages of discovery, the Harbourside is now a buzzing commercial area.
We’re very fortunate to be allowed to host great concerts at the venue and would like to continue to do so in the coming years. Please note there are residential properties within the immediate vicinity, and we ask that you respect the local area and our neighbours by leaving quietly. Please also help us keep the area clean and tidy by using rubbish bins provided.
If travelling from outside of Bristol the main rail station is Bristol Temple Meads, and there are buses from Station Approach to Princes Street, which is a 5-minute walk from the Amphitheatre. There is also a taxi rank outside of the rail station. For the more local amongst you, we’re sure you’ll know exactly where you’re going but if you do need any help you could check visitbristol.co.uk for suggestions on how to travel as there are plenty of public transport options.
Arriving at Bristol Summer Series
All concert goers will be required to go through the security checkpoint on entry to the venue when the gates open at 4.30pm each show day; you may be searched by security.
People with Disability
If you’ve booked accessible tickets, there is a viewing platform adjacent to the stage for you and your helper. The path from the main entrance to the viewing platform is cobbled and can be bumpy for wheelchairs. You are welcome to use the main arena too but again please note the access down to it is also cobbled.
Bars & Food
There are a number of bars selling a wide range of alcoholic drinks to over 18’s only. We operate a ‘Challenge 25’ policy, please don’t be offended if you’re asked for ID. It is against the law to purchase alcohol for under 18’s. Cash and contactless cards are accepted on all bars. Alcohol not purchased from the event bars is not permitted to be brought inside of the event. The main bar will be open from 4.30pm daily with other bars opening at 6.30pm once the gates into the main arena open.
From gates opening at 4.30 there is a food court with some seating with exceptional street food and festival favourites such as Jamrock’s Jerk Chicken, Grilled Chorizo & Halloumi from Black Pig, awesome Quesadillas and Burritos from Quesadilla Cart, Bristol’s own creative burger people Burger Theory and last but by no means least Somerset Hog Roasts with Crackling and Stuffing from Gilcombe Farm.
Please hand in anything you might find to the staff in the Box Office if you have lost something you can check at the box office and leave a note of its description and a contact number.
Please use rubbish/recycling bins provided, this goes a long way to help with the clear up of the venue and is good for the environment.
We don’t want to preach but we do want you to have a great time, please take a little time to read the points.
- Be Drinkaware – drink water between alcoholic drinks and stay hydrated, we want you to remember a great night.
- Hopefully, we’ll be in for some good weather but don't forget to bring layers as it will get cold in once the sun goes down. There are very limited shaded areas within the venue so if we do get the great weather remember to cover up with sunscreen and a hat.
- The law has changed, there is no such thing as a ‘legal high’ and this includes Nitrous Oxide
- No illegal/unidentifiable/psychoactive substances or nitrous oxide is permitted into the site
- Possession of any illegal substance may lead to your ejection from the festival and possible arrest
- If you feel unwell, please visit the first aid point or make yourself known to a member of the security team or event staff
- Pickpockets have been known to operate in densely crowded areas, be vigilant and look after your wallet and mobile phone
